Should natural hair be braided wet or dry?

I am transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. It has been 5 weeks since my last relaxer. I plan on putting my hair in cornrows and wearing a wig. But I want to know if I should braid my hair wet or dry. I apologize if this question has been asked here already but I couldn’t find it.

i would suggest braiding it wet, like everyone else says, it holds better if braided wet, or before you braid each braid, apply some Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion, it works really good on my hair whether its permed, braided or natural, it also restores damaged hair. You can get it at wal-mart, or sally beauty supply, thats where i usually get it from, i also use their perm pack, it has the perm, shampoo & conditioner, the moisturising hair lation, and directions. If you do want the hair lotion, i have a link to sally beauty supply so you can see what it looks like.
